USB connected or disconnected message

I keep getting an error message that switches between saying usb connected or usb disconnected. It is draining my battery and keeping my screen on. I have looked on YouTube for fixes (none of which have worked) and cleaned the little hole where the charger goes in but it is not fixing the problem. I have seen several posts online saying this seems to happen with Samsung phones. Does anyone have any ideas and/or fixes that really work please?

Can you see any damage to your charging port?

Is there any lint or other debris stuck in there?

What do you have connected?

I often see this when I'm charging multiple devices off a GaN charger. When a device stops or starts charging, it seems to cause the charger to turn everything off and on again as it recalculates the voltage for each port and dynamically change it.
