Trying to do a Software Update on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Hello 

I'm trying to do a Software Update on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.  There is one available to download.   However it won't allow me to download it on Mobile Data.  It says to connect to WiFi to download it. 

I currently don't have WiFi at the moment. 

Is it possible to do over Mobile Data? I have unlimited data.

Yes it should download as normal over your data connection. Try restarting your device.

@Northerner 

I've tried restarting the device and trying to update it.  Same message.  Connect to Wifi it will only allow it to be updated by WiFi.

According to Samsung Customer Support you can't download the System Update on Mobile Data and has to be WiFi.

Some phones allow you to also update over mobile data. I'm sorry to hear this option isn't available to you.

Hello

@Northerner @James_B 

I managed to get the newest Software on it.  Found a way around it. 

I basically Removed the Sim Card and put it in a different phone and then enabled Mobile Hotspot and then only my S23 Ultra connected to the other phone as WiFi and then downloaded the System Update as if I had proper WiFi.
