Take a message

Hi everyone,

So my Pixel7 has now diverted voicemail from EE to 'take a message' part of Google's phone app. Quite useful and I can turn it off if I want.

However I'd rather have my usual voicemail greeting or at least not the American female robot voice that it automatically uses. Does anyone know how to change it?

TIA

I strongly suspect this Android/Google voicemail is operating in-place of your EE network voicemail.

And if so, you'll need to choose which one to use.

Good morning @Puzo

I hope you are keeping well.

Just to add to what Bristolian has said, her is more information about Voicemail

Thanks

Ritu

Thanks, my question is more about putting my own personal message on Google take a message as I find it useful to read what the message is saying to see if it is important - something you can't do using EE voicemail.

Might be a question for Google Vs a question for EE then.

Thanks for getting back to me @Puzo

Yes Google voicemail does offer transcription, so that would be the better option if you like to read what the message is saying.

You can check your voicemail settings by:

Open the phone app > tap the 3 dots > go to settings > go to voicemail > tap on advanced settings > select your set up

Let me know how you get on.
