That could be caused by an account issue, a faulty phone or - as is a common reason - a lack of local coverage caused by a temporary network issue.

Do you know any friends or relatives locally who use EE - do they have similar problems? Check on https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee under "check status"

Hi @Steve1236

Are you on PAYG or EE pay monthly contract?

If PAYG when did you last make a chargeable call or text?

What device do you have and did you get it from EE?

Thanks

In what way does your SIM "appear" to have stopped working - can you explain the symptoms of your problem?

When on lock screen, i get a message saying emergency calls only. When unlocked i cannot receive or make calls nor send or receive text messages.  I've tried removing it and re-inserting but no luckSent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
