My mother in law has died. My wife wants to save her mum's last voicemails to her. How can she save them permanently. She doesn't have an iPhone.

Hi @stevenjonas

You'll need to record them separately on another device. (Play then on speakerphone).

Thanks

There is no network-based functionality to do this, and to be fair - device functions are better for having permanent copies of any data.

As mentioned - use the speakerphone facility and create an audio file.

Thanks for reaching out to us here @stevenjonas.

I'm really sorry to hear about your recent loss, and wish you and the family all the best, too.

As @Northerner and @bristolian have mentioned, sadly there isn't any option for us to retrieve these messages at a network level.

There is the option to record this from another device as they've mentioned, but there are a couple of other things you can try too to get maximum quality.

If you have an iPhone with Visual Voicemail set up, you can download and save messages through here, and also share them via services like WhatsApp.

Alternatively, some Android phones have a screen recorder feature; If you start the recording, it will make a video of the screen, including the sound.

Start the recording, play the voicemail on loudspeaker, then end the recording. It will then save the video in your gallery.
