Joined EE September 2023. SIM only package. Once the new SIM was in and the phone was back how I wanted it I tried to enable RCS chat feature, it failed. Did some research and saw about the issue with swapping between Google and Samsung messages. Left it two weeks, tried again same issue. Forgot about it for a month, tried again and same issue. My sister has the exact same issue, but she got a new phone with EE. Really want this fixed, but not keen on other messaging apps.
They did keep my old number and moved it onto a new SIM. The SiM details still show a different number. Not sure if this is the issue, if so how can it be fixed?

Hi @Heather988
Thanks for coming here.
Can you try and verify your number in the app by following the below steps:
- Go to your profile photo or icon, then Messages settings, RCS chats. Tap RETRY and confirm your phone number when requested. If you can't find 'RCS chats', tap Chat features.
- Google will send an SMS to confirm your phone number.
Leanne.

Thanks @Midge25. If it is still happening after trying that, I'd recommend speaking to our tech guides so they can have a look at it further.
You can see how to reach the team on our Contact Us page.
