Problems since recent update on Galaxy A17 5G

Since last weeks update on my Samsung Galaxy A17 5G, I have had problems with the battery draining fast and I am now having problems with charging. Is this just my device? Any recommendations?

New devices tend to take some time to adapt to your usage. 

That said it is difficult to say becase we have no idea about usage. What charging issues are you having.

Thank you for reply. When plugging charger into my phone, sometimes it starts charging fine and other times not at all. Only started doing this since the update.

Hi @LouD76 

The charging point sounds like the battery protection settings - battery - battery protection probably set to basic and has sleep protection. 

Best only charge when less than 20% to maximise battery life. As you use the phone the android software will deactivate apps and services you don't use.
