Pixel watch esim process is extremely poor

Just got a pixel watch direct from Google (a freebie!). Went through the steps to set up the esim via the Pixel Watch app and was presented with two possible plans, both identical and with *no pricing*!

I took the plunge based on a cost what I found after searching for ages online which, I believe, is £7. I mean, why would anyone sign up for a plan without knowing the costs?

Then I get a message saying I've got a 1gb dta boost on my phone plan. I have an unlimited data plan😂

Very poor customer flows and experience.

Let's hope this plan does cost £7 as there is literally nothing on site or during this sign up plan that tells you how much it costs. Come on EE, you can do better than this.

I agree, the flow is haphazard and looks like its been thrown together with no real thought - it's totally useless.

You're lucky that it worked for you though, every time i try to add the esim to the watch i get an error (code 212), I've tried tech support through chat and they have no clue at all.

Did you add the eSim through the pixel Watch app?

EE service is generally awful, i despise having to contact them for tech support as they know nothing, it sucks hours out of my day and i rarely get anything resolved.

Yeah I can't believe the experience is so bad, for a watch they are
marketing on their site with LTE funcionality. First thing you'd check
before marketing a product is to make sure customers are able to sign up to
that service advertised.

I added directly from the Pixel Watch itself

I just ended up getting an error (212) when I tried to buy the plan (similar to you, two identical ones with no pricing), spent over an hour on the phone with a lovely lady from EE and somehow now can't access my EE account though I believe it's still in place. The poor EE staff have had zero information shared with them on how to do this - I think probably simpler if you get the watch from EE as they can reset the virtual sim if need be but no clue on how to actually get the LTE working with a plan when bought from Google.

Yeah I feel sorry for the EE staff if this is what their marketing department have done. Launch a product and let customer support deal with the complaints....

But actually re your other point it shouldn't matter where you buy the watch, you still have to go through the same process is select the esim on the watch itself which then connects to your phone sim.

Anyone getting an error while trying to activate the esim, try simply restarting your phone.

What it looks like and what you get.

I found this thread as I am in the same situation. No pricing shows very poor UI

I cant even get mine setup with Data, even though I bought through EE, and the App gives me no option to add a data, plan so have passed it to Google Support who might be able to sort it...

The pixel watch seems to be a mess, and if Google cant fix the issues, the watch will be going back...

I'm in the same situation . Got the watch direct from Google with pixel phone . I've spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to get it connected to my SIM only account, now I'm trying to contact them to get any esims on my account deleted so I can try the automated (terrible UI) process again . Can't see anything in my Ee account . Talked to Google , got a guy that said , " these watches are just accessories, they need your phone " 😂 he didn't understand what an LTe watch is. If I can delete my esim which option works in the drop down ? 1 or 2 . Talked to 4 tech supports at EE?!! Nightmare ?!

I've given up almost 6 hours of going round in circles with the process of getting the esim added & I can't see the contract/anything updated within EE at all. I've got various "auth errors" on the EE website several times now and the purchase screen still looks like this with NO PRICING!

I think I'll just leave it and use it with bluetooth for notifications and shizzle the thought of going running with the watch alone sounded pretty cool but I'll just do without.
