Pixel watch esim process is extremely poor

Just got a pixel watch direct from Google (a freebie!). Went through the steps to set up the esim via the Pixel Watch app and was presented with two possible plans, both identical and with *no pricing*!

I took the plunge based on a cost what I found after searching for ages online which, I believe, is £7. I mean, why would anyone sign up for a plan without knowing the costs?

Then I get a message saying I've got a 1gb dta boost on my phone plan. I have an unlimited data plan😂

Very poor customer flows and experience.

Let's hope this plan does cost £7 as there is literally nothing on site or during this sign up plan that tells you how much it costs. Come on EE, you can do better than this.

Completely agree, 2 identical plans, no cost attached. You should be able to use data from your current plan. £7 is too much when you are already paying for line.

Well after using the watch for several weeks I can definitely say the LTE
connection just isn't needed. There aren't many situations even on a run or
cycling etc where you can't have the phone with you and it stays connected
very well. In a two story house the watch remains connected wherever I
leave the phone. I just haven't come across a scenario yet where I wished I
had the LTE. I'd enable it if it was free and used my phone data quota, but
it's certainly not worth £84 a year.

I had thought the same regarding already paying for unlimited data... Also same experience; two identical options with no pricing information.

Just got my google watch and the process still the same with 2 identical plans and no pricing, decided not to bother after finding out the price, a token amount for the technical setup and costs would be fine but £7 per month to get even more data and share minutes with unlimited plans especially when they are going to add an increase of over 14% in a few months it just doesn't have enoungh benfit to justify the costs

Agree, perhaps a token £1 per month for each esim for those on unlimited
plans.

hi can i ask how to add esim yourself in Google watch.

the tech support added for me but no network showing in the app at all.

Completely agree. I went to sign up but held off because it was impossible to see what I was signing up for. I called EE customer service to try to find out the price. The poor agent didn't really understand and just kept saying they connect via Bluetooth. Eventually once she's grasped what I was asking, she went away for a good ten minutes and came back to assure me it was free. I didn't believe a word of it and searched on here. Glad I did.
