Mobile Data not working!

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S8 (not blocked on any network).

Recently moved in the UK. I got myself a pay-as-you-go SIM from Three3 provider for the 1st month, but later I switched to EE for a monthly plan SIM card.

Ever since I received the SIM card, I have noticed that the mobile data was not working.

I have changed my number to the was I had before using the PAC code and I thought maybe it is because of this process.

2 days later, after the number was ported, I still had the problem.

 

Contacted the support from Chat box and I also had a call with a 2nd Line support:

1. Settings -> General Settings -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings

Did not work!

2. Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Networks -> Network Operators -> Turn Off Automatic -> Select different network and then connect back to EE

Did not work!

3. Network settings updated through a message sent by EE support

Did not work!

4. Technical Support told me he has sent APN settings through a message. I entered on my APN settings and it's not there.

 

It's my 5th day without data and I'm already annoyed by this issue. All the other SIMs work for me, even my partner's one. It's just this EE that is not working and I simply don't get it.

I feel obliged to share.. I have a Galaxy Samsung S8 and have spent weeks on and off trying to figure out why the APN Settings @ https://setup-ee.wdsglobal.com/internet for my model of phone just would not work with EE. The same symptoms IU can make calls but cannot use the data on my pack. 

The model SM-G950F is a samsung Galaxy s8. Talking to the helpdesk at EE for this it was suggested to reset network settings and then the APN configuration message was pushed to my phone but that was not solving the issue. They advised a factory reset which I was not keen on and felt it would not resolve the issue anyway!

I finally decided to delete all APN Settings manually in the phone Access Point Names settings. Then I jumped back on https://setup-ee.wdsglobal.com/internet and send another CP Message to my phone. 

 

Once it installed it finally worked

Hello

Pls I'm having same issue but I've tried troubleshooting and  it's still the same but if I inserted my ee sim in another phone it works perfectly but once I return it into my Samsung s8 it stop working

Is mobile data turned on in Settings on your phone?

Have you tried resetting the network settings?

I registered just to thank you for this. It worked. This was something EE support were unable to sort for me on the phone.

Dear  AlinMega,

In addition to the above suggestions, maybe you might want to check whether you have disabled the function of limiting data usage for the EE SIM card as well. Honestly, if calling 150 does not help you, I would suggest that you go to your nearest EE store. 

Recently, I had a network issue with my Iphone SE 2020 and going to the EE store was the best option that I have done. It took them 10 minutes to sort it out by giving me a new SIM card. 

Honestly, I feel that EE's customer service is improving by the day. I could not say the same with Vodafone. It is very unfortunate for Vodafone.

Hi.

I have the same problem. Mine is Samsung A805d.

I bought a pay as you go EE Sim.

It's data not working. When I put it on iphone, it works. EE has problem with Samsung A805d.

Yes dear.

It is on.

I have already reset the network setting as well.

Not worked.

I referred  to EE office in Brighton as well.

They couldn't solve it.

I bought another SIM, even the second one's data not working.

When I put the SIM in my iphone, data is working properly.

I am sure it is not because of my mobile setting, as when I insert SIM from 3 or O2 companies, data is working properly.

I even tried to set APN settings manually, butit's not working.
