Messenger stuck on "Waiting to connect"

A14 with payg EE. messenger stuck with that message. Tried all resets (cache, phone, etc.) and phone works for emails. Cannot send or receive texts but worked OK yesterday.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

If other internet-based functions work, then your phone has a working internet connection.

That leaves an app-specific issue.

Glad you got it sorted. But your first post mentioned that your phone's email program was still working. That would be impossible if flight mode was the fix for another app not working.

As soon as I turned it off 13 msgs arrived. I do remember being able to do other things but you have a point. I will check that out. Thanks.
