Hi.

Me and my Mrs have just upgraded our phones both S23 samsung. The text message app has been changed to google messages using rcs ? Our question that google can't give a straight answer to or I might be asking it wrong. If we send a photo using the new google messages app are photos free to send if we are on WiFi and then if we are out and about is it free on our data with our package or is I still charged at about 60p an mms

Thanks

An RCS Google msg isn't an MMS. It uses data entirely (as long as recipient also has RCS) & so comes out of your data allowance, whether over WiFi or the mobile network.

So free? Or pre paid with our plan if I look at it from a different angle

Thanks

Don't understand you! It's included in your data allowance whatever that is, looking from any angle.

OK, so it's still free when you've exhausted your data allowance, as it will then send nothing & so costing you nothing (subject to the slow Stay Connected facility).
