Cannot carrier unlock huawei mate 20 pro

I have been trying to unlock my Huawei but when I put in another sim from another provider there is no prompt and I need to update my Huawei to harmonyos bc ee is not pushing updates for this device anymore 😞

Can someone pls help?

Can you use the SIM card to make and receive calls and access all menus on the device? 

If so, the device is unlocked and you don't to use the unlocking code.

@Abdulmoeez3178   EE don’t push out updates for phones.    You can request the device to be network unlocked via THIS 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I have tried this but it never showed the code only in the email it showed the code. Then when I enter a new sim nothing pops up so I don't know where to put the code and one of the links send me to an about:blank page

Are you sure the device is not already unlocked if no unlock option appears.

Software updates are the manufacturer responsibility not the carrier.

The network unlocker says its locked

Thanks for coming to the community. 

What happens when you have another network SIM card in the phone? Do you get an error message?

Nothing shows up. I've called EE myself and they gave me the code and I have told them the thing isn't showing up to put in the code. They haven't helped me with it

Ok. BTW how can I remove EE's custom version of EMUI? Or do I need to contact Huawei for that?
