You get Paramount free with Sky Cinema, so why am I unable to login with my EETV details?

EE TV provides NOW Cinema on their packages, which is for NOW TV content and the included channels from Sky.
Paramount+ is not included in this package, and can only be purchased directly.
See the announcement for the launch of the app on EE TV here, which directs customers to sign up directly with Paramount: https://newsroom.ee.co.uk/ee-tv-expands-its-entertainment-offering-with-paramount-launch/#
The EE TV Packages are not the same as what is offered by Sky on their packages.

I get that, but Paramount state that membership is free for Sky Cinema subscribers, and according to my Now account, I have a Sky Cinema subscription via EETV.

You have an included NOW Cinema subscription, not Sky Cinema.
A Sky Cinema package is only offered by Sky through their own service and hardware.

Maybe you should ask NOW TV why. Nothing to do with EE TV, they simply carry the Sky channels via a subscription to NOW TV which is a separate trading entity to Sky TV.

Hi @imacken
according to NOW
Do I get Paramount+ with my membership?
The Paramount+ app won't be available on NOW. However, as part of Sky Cinema’s continued relationship with Paramount, NOW Cinema members will be able to stream most of Paramount’s latest blockbusters, as well as continuing to enjoy Paramount’s library of on demand movies at no extra cost

Thanks for that. However, I’m not sure what that means.
I tried searching on Now for 6 Paramount movies and nothing came up.

It means that Sky Cinema will show some Paramount films from time to time and not through the app. At the moment most of the Star trek films are available as are some from the Mission Impossible franchise. Some films are show first on the P+ App e.g. Gladiator II and Top Gun:Maverick. Also, I’ve seen some Paramount films turning up on Netflix and Prime Video. It depends on what you are looking for. Unfortunately in this day and age the studios can only make some money by selling rights to a number of generic streaming apps like Prime and Netflix.

Thanks everyone. I guess this another one of the things that make EETV cheaper than Sky.
