Why can't I remove apps from my box?

Why am I forced to have GB News on my box and no choice in removing it? If it's a forced thing, I won't be renewing

The agreement between the content provider (in this case GBNews) would be between them and YouView. So here the EETV boxes get access to  the available apps from the YouView Home page and the App  rail submenus.  The relative positioning  and prominence of the app rail is governed by YouView user interface policy,  The relative app order I think was last reviewed after consultation this summer,

YouView’s overriding aim is to ensure that positions in the listings, UI positions and search results are awarded on a fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory basis.

I believe the current version of GB News app requires  registration with them to qllow content to be watched. If you don't register/logon you won't see the content.

GBNews also provides stream and content via YouTube app.

Apps cannot be removed. They don't consume any space, and don't have any impact on any other apps. You can just ignore it.

@CT71  The other way of looking at this is that it’s not your box your only renting it so you get what’s installed on it.  There is no App Store on it so there is no way to delete something or install anything should you wish.  It’s all pre installed and it’s out of your control as it’s not your box   You simply don’t use what you don’t want to use.
