Why are so many boxes dropping connection?

My own TV box is at least once daily dropping connection to the router, my own TV apps drop at the same time. Broadband on other devices ok though.

This isn't just happening to me. There's posts on here , others online, including in my local area FB group where I posted earlier today and already two people have replied saying theirs is doing the same.

There's clearly a problem with the router firmware yet it's not being addressed. I've given up contacting tech support as they just read the script about restarting, raise a complaint, then close it 7 days later

Starting a new thread only dilutes the discussion and results in multiple places that I need update when I get answers.
