Unable to factory reset

I am having issues with accessing the App Icons and have tried a soft reset to no avail.

I want to carry out a factory reset but have same issue. When I press the home button I dont see any App Icons or the menu.

Anyone had similar issues and if so how was it resolved? Thanks

What do you see?

Are you sure you are on the correct HDMI input to see the EETV display?

If so, hold down the On/Standby button on the box (not the remote) for just over 8 seconds until it soft reboots, and see if this helps.
