Too many boxes

We have just joined EE TV. We have three extra mini boxes. I have just had a message on our Main Pro Box saying we have too many boxes on our Broadband. How do I fix this please?

It looks like you factory reset your IP Box Mini @SwannyD2  - this caused it to be seen as a new device. Your account correctly has 2 device slots available (one for your Apple TV, one for your IP Box Mini), so as long as you don't keep resetting them, you shouldn't see the message again.

Note: apps have their own limit (4 devices), which is a separate count to the set top boxes.

Hi there,

I have a main box and one extra box.

Whenever both boxes have been used simultaneously, I get a message saying too many boxes are using my broadband, and I have to choose which one to use.

I called customer service and they told me to clear the cache, which solved the problem for a while, but now it's back

It's really annoying!!

Is there a solution?

I pay for both boxes....

Does my account need resetting?

Both boxes show on my EE TV package....

@Jfield1 now fixed - you may see that message once more, after which it should go away.

Whilst there I noticed that you haven't activated your Now TV account yet.  It's set to a btinternet.com email address that I don't think is valid (I could be wrong)?  Let me know if you'd like this corrected too.

Thank you!!

We had BT TV and have recently moved to EE TV, so NOW TV was activated as part of BT TV.

NOW TV is working, so not sure why it is saying it's not been activated?

Hi I have two pros and one mini that you sent me but I can not get on both pros at the same time! Have called but can not get anywhere ???

@Markgibbs69

EE TV won’t (or shouldn’t have!) sent you two Pro boxes,  and with a Mini, that’s three devices. So what have EE sent you, and what have you sourced for yourself?

It doesn’t matter if you use a Pro instead of a Mini, but you need to be set up by EE with Multiroom for three devices to use everything you have.

How many devices do you have registered with EE TV?

Hi @DarrenDev

We have the main box and 2x mini boxes but are also getting the too many boxes message. Please could you also look into.

Thanks!

Unfortunately you'd need to call us @Melly165 - having 2 extra boxes is no longer free, so the subscription charge will need to be added to your account.  Your boxes are actually marked to be returned, as they were cancelled when you called us on August 29th.

Hi @DarrenDev - I’ve called in and we’re not sure why the boxes were cancelled. This has now been sorted and I don’t need to return them. However, whilst I have 2 mini boxes my contract apparently is not showing as having multi room. Is this the problem and can it be fixed? My mini boxes were offered at no additional charge.

Many thanks
