Too many boxes even though only have two

Can somebody please help me. I’ve seen lots of posts on here about this same problem but it seems that it has to be fixed by EE. I’ve tried ringing and spent ages on the phone on Sunday, was told the specialist team would call me back but nobody has!

joined EE broadband and tv from sky aviut 6 weeks ago. Was told I’d get a main pro box and could have up to 3 mini boxes for other rooms.

when my package got delivered they’d only sent me a mini box, no main box. I set the mini box up in the living room then when the main pro box came I set that up in the living room and moved the mini box to the bedroom.

ever since I get the
IPC6007 telling me I have too many boxes for my subscription and that I’m not subscribed to any of the channels. As other people on here have commented, I can get around the issue by clicking through all the error messages and I understand that’s because each time I do that it transfers my subscription to that box. But it’s really annoying having to do it every time I use the boxes.

it shouldn’t be happening at all but especially not as I spent so long on the phone about it at the weekend.
looking at previous threads it seems it just needs a small fix at ee’s end so can somebody please help. It’s ee’s error in the first place for not sending me the right kit!

You can have up to 2 additional boxes, but they're not free - it's £5 a month to add one, £10 a month to add 2.

This has occurred due to the way you received your boxes - the TV Box Pro was sent as an amendment, rather than an order for extra box. A mistake by the agent.

If the charge were already on your account, I could easily fix the issue straight away.  As it's not, it needs to be raised as an order - which will automatically fix the problem at the same time.

I can see previous calls attempted to raise it as a fault, which was then rejected as it's not a fault.  Instead, the agent should have just raised the order to add extra box.

If you confirm here that you're happy to accept the monthly charge, I can raise the order for you.

I was specifically told by the guy outside the coop who persuaded me to sign up that the extra boxes were free of charge and that I could have up to 3 on my account for free. I specifically queried that because I had to pay extra for multi room with sky and he said that was another reason ee are better. So I don’t accept that I have to pay the monthly charge as I was expressly told there wasn’t one.

I’m also still awaiting resolution of the sky tv charges I’ve had to pay because, again, it appears the guy who persuaded me to join have me wrong info. He told me that EE would cancel everything with sky for me and I wouldn’t have to do a thing. Turns out that wasn’t right either so I’ve incurred 2 months of sky tv charges. Rang last Thursday to resolve that and not yet resolved

Sorry, but you have been misinformed.  There has never been an option to have 3 extra boxes (i.e. 4 in total).  The free extra box deal also ended last year.

Also, we don't have the ability to cancel your Sky TV for you - only phone and broadband.

Sorry - it sounds like you met a very poorly informed sales person in the street. Did you sign up with him there and then? If so, it would be worth raising a complaint so that he can be found and educated.

How do I make a complaint
