TV constantly stutters and freezes

Redrunner25

Hello,

Switched from Sky back in March and signed up to Fibre 2 broadband and TV Entertainment package. I have the TV Box Pro and Wi-Fi extender disc as part of the package.

I have had constant problems with the TV signal stuttering or freezing during the last 3 weeks. Sometimes this is accompanied by an on-screen message saying there is a problem with the broadband connection and the error code 6023.

The TV signal stuttering improved slightly if I completely unplug the Wi-FI extender disc as the box connects to the main hub. This weakens the signal in the other rooms though.

There isn't an option to connect the TV to the router via an Ethernet cable unless I use a Powerline Adapter?

Can anyone help? I'm now at the stage where I'm considering getting rid of the box completely and connecting the TV to an outdoor aerial 😡

Welcome to the Community, @Redrunner25

Powerline adapters could definitely be a good way forwards in improving the quality of your TV connection.

I know a few people that have this as their setup and it works well on all accounts; or if your extender is close to the TV you could try using an ethernet connection from the back of this.
