I am having some serious issues with my pro box. Over the last few days it keeps crashing/freezing and then the tv channels don't work. Apps have no problems.
I am mid contract and wonder if anyone has had any luck of swapping the Pro box with an Apple TV? I'll be making a call tomorrow but just wanted to know if anyone else has been able to do this before I call.

I swapped, so it can be done - as you guess it will need a phone call.
Bear in mind you will lose the recording function.

So, all very disappointing. Customer service says no! They can offer me another Pro box but I have lost all faith in that. All very unsatisfactory, I am on full fibre 900 and the full works TV so EE get a tidy sum out of me each month. Had seen other people's horror stories of the service previously and thought actually EE tv is pretty good, I like it and was a happy customer.
They then try and upgrade my broadband for £2 more and sell me a mobile phone contract - read the room, this isn't the the time or place to try and sell me something.
Now I am pretty disgruntled and will be sitting out my contract and leaving at the earliest opportunity.
Such a shame on an item that they loan to the customer.

Sorry to hear of your experience @PavoReal - it should have been possible to swap your box for an Apple TV, however I've confirmed that the system isn't allowing it for your account. A colleague is investigating why - the current assumption is that there's something on your account that it can't handle.
I'll update here when we have an answer.

Thank you so much for getting back to me @DarrenDev it is really appreciated. I've been testing my existing box since speaking to your colleagues. It has crashed another two times.
I'll wait and see what your colleague finds, but I think the box will have to be replaced whether it is the Apple option or another Pro Box.

Morning @DarrenDev , just an update. The Pro box has completely died this morning so it will have to be replaced, preferably with the Apple TV. Just wondered if there were any developments on my account? I will need to call CS again. Luckily I have a couple of mini boxes so have been able to move one over to use. Thanks for all your help with this.
