TNT SPORTS (or rather the lack of it)

As part of my renewal of BT sport channel, an engineer fitted a TV Pro Box a few months ago via an HDMI lead (connects to HDMI4) and all was OK. Today after a few months of non use I intended to watch the football but was unable to receive anything. The blue light on the box appeared but that's all - a completely blank screen. I know the EE remote control is working as the status light appears on the box when I press it, but no other buttons work and now I can't even turn it (the blue light on the EE box) off. Sky (via a a separate box) and freeview  are fine and all the wiring looks OK. EE technical support never came back, so can anyone here suggest whether my problem is the TV, EE Box, the EE remote control or just me not doing something right. Thanks

Make sure the box in on HDMI 4, the TV is switched to HDMI 4, manually, if necessary, and the HDMI cable is firmly seated at both ends, and running in free air, not close to other cables that might interfere.

If still the same, it would seem the box has hung.

Touch the On/standby button on the box for over 8 seconds, and it should soft reboot.

If it doesn’t, though, unplug its power lead, wait two minutes, and then reconnect it.

If it does the above again, call 150 and request a replacement.

Your suggestion re touching the On/standby button worked. The blue light flashed for several seconds then remained on.

Pressed On/off switch on the remote and success. Thanks for your help.
