Switching from Sky to EETV

I'm potentially going to be switching from Sky to EETV in the near future and I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping the community can help me with. I've had a search to see if they have already been answered and haven't found anything specifically so I hope I'm not posting spam!

1. How does NowTV work on the EE Box Pro (or EE Apple TV box)? Do I have to sign into an app on the box in order to make the channels I subscribe to appear in the TV guide?

2. Similarly, how does Discovery+ work? As above? In addition, I have TNT Sports through Discovery+ as an add-on to my phone contract. If I didn't take a TNT subscription through EETV, would those channels appear in my TV guide if I was signed into the app with that account?

Many thanks.

  1. No, if you subscribe through EE the NOW channels will appear in the TV Guide, but you will need to log into the NOW app for on demand content
  2. Apart from TNT Sport channels (Eurosport is closing) and free to air channels like Quest, any other channels available in the app (like TLC), are only available in the app. Having an add on subscription to a mobile contract will not activate these channels in the TV Guide, it is app only, including TNT Sport.
