Good morning,
I am Mike and I have been with BT/EE, TV, since the beginning, mainly for
sports, while surfing the Electronic Guide of the box, I find some anomalies,
also when attempting to go to some channels.
TNT sports channels, I can only watch on HD, when I tried to go to TNT1,
normal channel, I was informed that I will be charged £20, these are not
listed to me in the subscribed list, same with most Sky sports channels,
which are all listed as subscribed.
I find this strange, I do know that I would need to pay for Sky sports, but
why are they listed as being subscribed?
The reason that I was trying to get TNT1 normal, was because the Optical
to Digital headphones were giving out a high-pitched squeal on the HD
and I wanted to try the other channel.
Thank you for reading this and hopefully explaining to an Old Man what he
has done wrong.
Mike.

‘Subscribed’ is just a selection of channels that EETV provide by subscription, 313 to 525, and it doesn’t indicate what your particular subscription is. Though it actually seems to be just the Now channels, as TNT isn’t shown in that range. But I see Now Sky Sport there, which I’m not subscribed to, so it looks like it doesn’t distinguish between the Now subscriptions we do and don’t have.
Perhaps some kind soul at EE could explain ‘Subscribed’ to us, as I can’t find anything that covers this, only stuff from BT about the EETV app 😢
I can’t try TNT1, as I don’t have a subscription (looks like I’ll need one, sorry EETV), but I do know I can watch the SD versions of the Now channels I can also get in HD, so it’s very odd you can’t watch ordinary TNT.
Apart from perhaps misunderstanding what the (seemingly undocumented) Subscribed means, I don’t think you are doing anything wrong, though. See if anyone from EETV can add to my answer, or it’s the 45-minute wait on 150 😢

So when you select channel 408, you cannot view TNT Sports 1, but you can watch TNT Sports1 HD if you select 430?
Weird, I don’t believe that should be possible as you need need a TNT Sports subscription to watch via the TV Guide in standard definition and then the HD add-on to enable the HD variants on channels 430 - 434.
This only changed very recently with HD now included as standard (including a price increase…), but should still display the SD channels, when did you buy the Sport package?
TV Guide > Categories (blue button) > Subscribed will filter the guide to show only the channels you are, err, subscribed to.

As above, why does it show me Now Sports channels that I am not subscribed to then?

As above, it shouldn’t and doesn’t for me when I press the blue button and filter by ‘Subscribed’.
All available channels are shown in the standard guide or other category views because they want to tempt you to upgrade.
If you click the blue button and filter by ‘Sport’, you should see all available channels, subscribed or not.
If it is correctly filtered by ‘Subscribed’, it should not show anyone content they are not subscribed to. If it does, it’s a defect which does not impact my box.

Thank you both for the replies, I have had BT/EE TV since it started in the 1990s, but I can't
remember when I started paying for it, probably when I had to choose a Now TV Package,
I was approached by BT when they were trying to get their TV accepted, you might say that
I am a founder member.
This image shows the subscribed list, at the bit where it has 430
This image shows where 408 should be, but there is a space
between 385 & 418
Those pictures were taken 15 minutes ago, what was bothering me was the high-pitched squeal
in HD on Optical to Digital headset, it only happens in HD, it isn't the box, as in the stereo setting,
there is no squealing, only when it is set to Surround Sound, which incidentally gives a much better
sound from the TV set without headphones.
Thank both, once again, for your interest in helping me.
Mike.

Let’s hope we can crack it between us.
Given how Subscribed is supposed to work, and does for @Profile closed , I’m not surprised you don’t see anything between 385 and 408, as you probably don’t subscribe to any of those channels. But 408 to 411 you ought to see, and possibly 412 and 413.
I don’t see anything between 385 and 418 on Subscribed, but then that’s what I’d expect. But that you don’t possibly means that EETV think you aren’t subscribed to TNT or EuroSport SD. Do you see 430 to 436 OK?
@Profile closed , are you subscribed to Now at all, and if so what, of Entertainments, Cinema, Sports, Hayu?
Does what you see on Subscribed accurately line up with those subscriptions? Except perhaps for Hayu, which doesn’t seem to appear in the EPG?
Maybe EETV thinks I have a Now Sports subscription with HD? That would explain it….

Directly, not via EE so I can access Ultraboost, so I can’t help there, I only have original SD ‘Sport’ and watch HD TNT via discovery+.
Hayu has always been on demand only on any device.

So Now in the EETV EPG doesn’t show up at all for you under Subscribed?
In which case I guess you wouldn’t encounter my issue with individual Now Memberships…
And not that I would ever subscribe to Hayu, but if I did, I’d take it direct from Hayu, not via Now anyway.
If taking it via EETV/Now doesn’t get it into the EPG, I see zero benefit in that 😛

That is correct, which is expected behaviour because I only subscribe to ‘Sport’, so can see standard definition channels 408 - 413 and 450 - 455 only.
If I select the ‘Sport’ category I can see 408 - 413, 418 - 429, 430 - 436, 438 - 449, 450 - 455, 458 - 465 and the box office channels 494 - 497.
It is worth noting that if at any point you use the yellow button to ‘Edit Channels’ in the tv guide, they will also be hidden under the blue button category view.
I don’t see the benefit of Hayu under any circumstances! 🤣
