Since the latest iOS EETV app was released, every time I send a recording to my EE box from my iPhone, I get an message saying
EETV
Recording request
We're having problems connecting to your TV Box. Is it turned on and connected to the internet? If you've reset your TV Box, you need to pair again.
The recording will go through to the box ok and I was watching something on Netflix at the time so the box was both on and online.
This has happened before and was fixed and now has started again

Hi @PaulB2005
Welcome to the community.
I recommend restarting your TV box again, as well as your router. Also, please make sure the app on your phone is on the latest version.
If you try all of this and have the same problem, I recommend speaking with our EE TV technical support team. They'll be able to look into it further for you.
Keep us updated with what happens please.
Chris

This one is actually on me @Christopher_G - I wrote all that functionality.
@PaulB2005 the app functionality in this area hasn't changed, however I'm wondering if an iOS update has broken it? The app is trying to get the status from the cloud, however as soon as you put the app to the background (or lock your phone), it's being blocked from requesting updates. Your phone updated just over 2 weeks ago, so it might be related.
I'll do some more testing on the same version.

Hi all
Many thanks for all the input.
Apps are kept up to date on the phone and TV box is restarted every couple of weeks or so (solves another issue) and hub started.
I've tried a couple of recordings since restarting everything and seems to be working ok now (famous last words).
Interesting on the idea that the app might not be able to communicate once the app is in the background or the phone is locked however I am sure I've seen it at least once where the phone hasn't locked after sending a recording to the box but will pay more attention.
I'll keep an eye on it for a few days/weeks and send some test recordings to see what i can notice.
