Programmes not recording

Hi there , we are finding that many of the programmes we set to record simply aren’t recording . They don’t appear in the recorded list when we hit home and it’s completely random as to what does and what doesn’t record. ??? Anyone else have the same or have a solution ?

So there is no pattern to the failed recordings that you can tell? Not from the same sort of channels like BBC channels or Sports channels or a series link? 

Our help page offers some reasons and settings that may cause recording problems so its worth checking out and seeing if there is anything you can change.

But there may be something else going on and it would be worth getting in touch with our technical team so they can run some checks to help investigate the issue further.

Hi  @BrianH430 

To view the full recording list you need to navigate a bit further into the menus after hitting home.

To do this start by hitting home to display the home page, but then hit the left navigation arrow (left of "OK") once. This will highlight the left menu list on the screen.
The option you need to select from the left menu is "My TV".  Select "My TV" and you will be able to see all your recordings there.

Not only has the "My TV" section have all your recordings, but  if the box thinks that one of them has failed, an entry for that will be added in "My TV" flagging the failure, but hopefully you won't see many of those!

Nothing is now recording on my EE box.
I will be leaving EE later this week.
I refuse to pay for tripe that doesn’t work .
Shockingly bad and no decent answers offered.
Very poor customer service.
I went into my TV and could see approximately 90 “failed to record “ listings .

@BrianH430 you posted and then didn't respond to any of the questions asked of you.  What you provided wasn't enough to provide you with an answer.

Having looked at your TV Box logs, I can see that it has reported 33 failures in the last 30 days, 27 of which were for TNT Sports 2, where it reported an error I've never seen before.  The box appears to be permanently stuck in a state where it believes it's already recording TNT Sports 2, so won't allow any other recordings of that channel.

All the other failures were for other channels, and were due to scheduling changes by the broadcasters.

My recommendation would be to factory reset the TV Box.  I believe this will clear the fault for TNT Sports 2.
