Just moved over to EE broadband and telly from sky this morning. Have got all of the apps but don't have "live" telly. Not sure what to do?

Hi @Laura19843

Do you have the TV boxes.

Have you downloaded the EE TV app: https://ee.co.uk/help/tv-sport/EETV-App-and-Web-player

Thanks

I'm guessing your broadband hasn't moved yet - your post is from a Sky Broadband line.

It can happen any time up until the end of the day.

On the TV Box, if you check for software updates it'll recognise when the line has switched.  When it does, the box will say there's an update and it will reboot - when it boots up, you'll then see the EE TV logo in the top left corner of the home screen.  You can then scan for channels to pick up the update.

@Laura19843

There are 2 ways of getting "live" TV.

One is via a terrestrial aerial and the other is via the internet in what is called IP Mode. In this instance the TV box is connected to your internet and when your subscriptions has been activated you'll get the feed to the TV box via the internet.

Do you have a TV aerial , if so your best option is to set the box into aerial mode and tune your live channels in via that method. Your subscription channels would come via the internet in both cases. You would then also feed the aerial wire from the TV box to your TV's aerial input socket.

If you don't do it this way then all your TV channels , live or otherwise , come via the internet into the TV box and then fed via it's HDMI cable to your TV. Note that not all TV "live" channels are available this way though.

Downloaded it to my phone or my tv?

Yesterday was go live but still no live channels today 😞

Thanks for this. The mini box doesn't have a point for the tv aerial to go into?

Are you posting from your home internet connection @Laura19843 ? It's still a Sky Broadband line, which suggests your activation didn't happen.

Could you please email me at eetvsupport@ee.co.uk with your new EE account number, and I'll check what's going on.

The mini box only works in IP Mode so gets everything over the internet.
