I understand the new EE TV Service has just been launched, including via a customised EE Apple TV 4K box. I currently have Sky Stream so EE TV via an Apple TV box is a. good proposition. It would be great to hear reviews of the service via Apple TV from those who are early adopters of the service (I assume some trials must have taken place too)

You're welcome to start a topic on here if you want an open discussion with other community members, otherwise feel free to email me as mentioned before - tv.apps@ee.co.uk
We have accessibility champions working on EE TV, with current focus being on AD and BSL. If you have any specific pain points though, let us know.

Great thanks that’s a big help. Always good to see companies championing accessibility

So I have the Apple TV. It doesn’t launch apps for live content. It is much more like sky stream. You do need to login to itv to get the region but all live tv just streams. It actually is quite nice. One thing missing would be numbers on the remote. Bit clumsy to use the onscreen keyboard. And could do with having the option to hide non hd variants of channels as a lot of scrolling

Thank you @DarrenDev for forwarding that suggestion along. I’m also hoping we receive more surround sound Live TV content soon too!
In terms of picture quality, the Apple TV is usually wired (currently on WiFi due to redecorating). The Live TV channels are quick to load etc but it just doesn’t seem as sharp as Sky Stream was. I don’t have the equipment to test this claim so like I said it’s purely a personal observation and I could be talking rubbish.
Thanks again for the update and taking the time to reply here. Have a good weekend!

@Customer_404 some channels are higher quality than others. Looking at your last 24 hours viewing, I can see you're always getting the best quality available, but some of the channels you watch are only broadcast in SD so will definitely look much lower quality.

@DarrenDev thats interesting, thanks for checking.
A thought on that, it would be nice if the current resolution and audio quality were displayed along the bottom near the scrub/seek bar as little icons, for example 720p, 1080p resolution and 2.0 or 5.1 audio.
Anyway, thanks again, have a good weekend.

Went into store and used EE TV and was impressed.
Gave them a call to check price etc and the guy told me legacy customers couldn't move to New Broadband unless they were out of contract. Stated that I wanted EE TV and was told I was able to move even though I was still in contract with legacy and they would waive the ETF. Went through pricing etc then said I'd think about it and call back.
Called back and was told legacy customers can't move to EE TV if they're still in contract.
Honest to god 😐

Sorry for the confusion @somarcsaid
If you're currently with BT Broadband then you can move to EE Broadband with EE TV at any time (in or out of contract).
If you're currently on legacy EE Broadband then you can only move across when you're out of contract, or within the final 90 days of your contract - this is due to a system issue that we cannot currently work around. We're doing our best to find a solution.

The person I spoke to the first time on the phone was aware I was on legacy EE not BT so the confusion is not actually with me.
As I said, they went through pricing etc to move me from EE legacy (in contract with more than 90 days remaining) to new EE with TV.
Also if one more person tells me I can move to BT 😂

@DarrenDev I'd like to open this back up again...
If I purchase an EE TV subscription can I log into the EE TV app on other AppleTV devices and view the same channels; ITV1, BBC, Channel 4 (Freeview channels).
It seems ridiculous that it's locked to the specific EE TV Box especially if customers don't have the ability to purchase additional AppleTV boxes for more rooms.
I want to subscribe, but can't if I can only watch on the dedicated EE TV Apple Box... what about when I want to watch in the bedroom ATV?
Hopefully, this has been fixed now and Freeview channels are available when signing into the EE TV app regardless of the box provided through EE.
TIA
