I understand the new EE TV Service has just been launched, including via a customised EE Apple TV 4K box. I currently have Sky Stream so EE TV via an Apple TV box is a. good proposition. It would be great to hear reviews of the service via Apple TV from those who are early adopters of the service (I assume some trials must have taken place too)

EE TV app version 3.1.0 is now available in the App Store for Apple TV devices, and devices will automatically update it over the next few hours. You can update it yourself by opening the App Store, selecting Purchased (at the top), All Apps (on the left), select the EE TV app, and then the Update button.
Once updated, you'll then be able to pause/rewind live TV up to an hour behind the live position - even if you only just joined the channel.
Please note that some channels haven't given us permission to allow them to rewind - where this is the case, you'll see a small red no-entry icon to indicate that it's not possible. We're still trying to get agreement from more channels, so keep checking if the channel you're watching doesn't yet support it.

Thanks Darren for the update, interested to see what channels this works with, and also if it is possible to do this with audio description enabled

It looks like I joined EE at a good time, the pause/rewind live TV is a feature I'm happy has been implemented, which appears to be the general consensus.
My broadband finally went live yesterday so I've only had a day's experience with EETV on the provided ATV.
I already had an ATV (1st gen 4k) and getting a newer model that offers the ability to watch live TV was quite important, mainly for my other half, as she needed something that was quite simple to use. I'm pretty impressed with EE's TV service and the remote is very useful for technologically challenged people.
Do you have a thread for feature requests @DarrenDev, or FAQ page? I feel it may help.

@Elliot1983 we increased the number of channels it is available on last night - most channels now have it, and those that don't are unlikely to ever have it (due to content rights on them).
@jon_1103 it's great to hear you had a good first impression of the service. Our online help pages are still being worked on, so I'm not aware of an FAQ. I recommend starting a new thread on this forum to ask any questions you have, or request features for the service.

@DarrenDev, I must say that I have been waiting for this update since I got EE TV and have been enjoying it so far, it’s been very well implemented! Thank you!
The only other things I could hope for at the moment are the ability to still see the current live channel when viewing the guide, I believe this shows initially but as soon as you navigate around it disappears.
Also better picture and sound quality would be amazing. I had Sky Stream in the past and seem to remember the picture quality being superior as well as more 5.1 audio available whilst watching Live TV. With EE I only seem to receive 2.0, I’m using the same setup as I had with Sky (Sonos Beam and two Surrounds). I no longer have Sky Stream to directly compare though so could be talking rubbish.
Anyway, thanks to all your team for making the EE TV app even better.

Thanks for responding. I don't have any questions, I had just read through this thread and thought it would be useful that's all but if there is a help page in the works then that will help customers.

thanks Darren that's great. Good to see features being added and the app developed, hopefully dolby 5.1/Atmos will be added to sport/cinema down the line. On another note, as an accessibility consultant myself I'm still struggling to contact the relevant department at EE. Are you able to help with this at all please? Many thanks

Thanks for the feedback @Customer_404 - I'll pass it on. I agree that it's a little silly to show an image for the programme you're highlighting in the TV Guide, when it could continue to show the channel you're on.
We're working on adding support for surround sound where available. The picture should be up to full HD (1080p) on the HD channels, depending on wifi strength - is there a specific channel that you're seeing lower quality on?

I did pass on your details when you contacted me previously @Elliot1983 however we already have our own accessibility team within EE. You're welcome to offer feedback, however I can't offer any direct communication channel - everyone has their opinion, and no work would ever get done if everyone had a direct input.

Thanks Darren much appreciated, just want to help improve the service for blind customers like myself and was recently praising EE on a tech accessibility podcast. Also working with ITV and Sky independently and do appreciate you passing on my details it’s just good to know when accessibility feedback is reaching the right people.
