Netflix activation error

I have been trying to activate my netflix account using the link I have been texted. Once I click the link and enter my phone number it sends a code. I enter the code however every time I am met with the same message "We're sorry we are experiencing technical difficulties". This has been ongoing for two months and it means I have been paying more money out, the message function on the EE app was useless. I have made a complaint and would like any assistance to get this resolved.

Hi @nak2

Welcome to the EE Community

Sorry to hear the verification service has not worked in the way it's intended.

When you are visiting the link, are you connected to Mobile data or through WIFI?
It tends to work better when using mobile data through your mobile phone.

If you are still having trouble, you can also visit the link through a PC/Laptop if you have one available. The code will still be sent to your phone, you'd just input it to your PC.

I’ve done it using my mobile data. I can’t access it from my computer I have tried for nearly two months now.

Tried it through my mobile data and on my laptop it still does not work and still gives me the technical issue response.

@nak2  Just to confirm its Netflix as an inclusive extra on your mobile plan that you are trying to activate?

And the add-on does show in your app when checking in Manage> Mobile add-ons?

Is the link you are loading ee.co.uk/netflix and do you have any VPN in use?

Are you able to try a different browser?  Safari doesn't work well with ee.co.uk

Also, if your Netflix subscription is through EE TV and you have a TV Box Pro or TV Box Mini, you can use the "Sign up" link in the Netflix app on the TV Box and it'll automatically activate your subscription from EE TV.

Hi, I’ve used safari and tried on Google chrome. It still doesn’t work. It’s not from EE TV, it’s a smart benefit on my sim plan.

@nak2 Can you see the Netflix add-on active and selected by going to Manage> Mobile Add-ons and checking in the inclusive extras section?

Do you have any VPN active and if so can you disable it please, in an iPhone this would be in Settings> General >VPN?

Could you please clear the cookies and cache from Google Chrome for the EE website. If you are unsure how the instructions are here Clear cache & cookies - iPhone & iPad - Google Account Help  and then retrying the ee.co.uk/netflix link?

The activation link for our inclusive extras all lead to the same place, so whether loading ee.co.uk/netflix or ee.co.uk/xbox for example, it will load the one time PIN page, you enter your number, confirm the PIN then next page will show all of your available extras to activate no matter which link you started from.

As such once trying the steps above to reload ee.co.uk/netflix, if you are still encountering an error see if trying the Xbox link encounters the same technical error when trying to route you to the entertainment activation page.
