Moved from Sky to EETV, picture quality is bad e.g. channel 5 on demand

set up EE 500 broadband, and EETV. The picture quality is nothing like I had on Sky. The HD on demand channels are pretty bad. E.g Channel 5.

EETV just doesn’t seem to have as clear a picture as I had on Sky - yes I was paying £9 a month for HD. But this covered a lot of channels and all the On demand ones also.  Did anyone else have these issues and resolve them?

Thanks

Hi @KrisB70_

Scart lead is a very old technology that you won't find on many new TV sets made since circa 2015. So I assume you mean HDMI port.

I've just switched to EETV via the apple TV box rather than their own box and quality is on par with HD on Sky. Just really wish EE hurry up and add Now UHD.

Might be worth seeing if you can switch from EE box to EE Apple box as best of both worlds (cheaper service, good for sport but apples platform proping it up).

EETV customer (Apple TV 4K box) with Full Works. EE Busiest Home Broadband (1.6 Gbps) with Smart Hub 7 Pro and extender. EE (One) Mobile customer.

My mistake,I meant hdmi.I'm sticking with Sky now, really like the layout of the tv.I won't go back to EE for a while,I think they need a massive improvement on the tv technology.

If your TV is (ultra hd or 4k) let the television tuner do the upscaling. When I had the EE box the default setting is 4k up scaling output. Set the EE box to 1080p so the tv tuner does the processing. I found that improved my picture sharpness.

Hi thanks for reply not just picture the sky interface is far better so
will go back to sky
