Hi,
We are experiencing low signal quality on the tv pro box (both boxes we have been sent) and our previous bt pro box too. Signal strength is good, around 90 to 100 percent but quality is poor at around 20 percent (max 30 percent)
The odd thing is that a bt engineer left me with a bt 4k uhd box and with the same cables and set up it shows 100 percent quality on every channel. I have tried an old youview box which also shows 100 percent quality.
Pulling my hair out as to why the pro box would be giving such poor quality vs the non pro box.
Thanks
Ian

Do as was earlier suggested and get a variable attenuator fitted between the box and the aerial feed and reduce the strength to around 85%. This should help.

I don’t understand why I have to pay for something more when I’m paying for the service already and my 10 year old box works perfectly?

I understand what you're saying but equipment suppliers can't always cover every eventuality that might be occur.
Having said that the tuners on all the BT/EE TV boxes have been incapable of handling very strong signals that overload the tuners. The solution of a variable attenuator fortunately is not an expensive one , costing maybe £8 - £10.

I had a look on amazon but have no idea if I’d be ordering the correct thing. I’m going to give EE a call tomorrow as I don’t really know what I’m doing. It’s frustrating how a 10 year old box can perform but yet a modern box cannot
my contract with talktalk has been up for 18months and I had avoided switching for this exact reason…….. a problem and something not working
Thankyou for your help
