Following my post the other day I wish to update the situation. Technical Support said it was down to a Subscription or Broadcasting issue . When I spoke to the department that deals with upgrades they blatantly lied to me . Firstly they said both TNT Sports Ultimate (433) and TNT Ultimate HDR ( 465) are bothnow defunct and only serve as an advertising tool . This was a lie . Secondly they stated that when I view sport  on the EE HD channels I’m in fact viewing in UHD again this was a lie . Please could anyone who signed up for viewing Sports in UHD please add their comments. Unless this resolved to my satisfaction I will escalating this to OFTEL / OFCOM .

What does "to my satisfaction" mean @Chirpy1960 ? I'm sorry you've been misinformed, and I'll aim to find the agent you spoke to, so that they can be educated, but we can't change what's broadcast on those channels?

If you have indeed been mis-sold EE TV then you'll of course also be entitled to cancel without penalty.

We moved home 4 months ago and moved from Sky Tv to BT and then EE. I have both Sky and TNT sports and when I set up our package I was given the impression it had HD. This turned out not to be the case, despite being informed initially that it was part of the package. For several weeks now, due to the poor picture quality of the standard package, I have being trying to have the HD upgrade, to no avail. Initially I was informed that it would be up and running in 24 hours, this didn’t happen. I have spent approximately 40 hours listening to EE’s terrible music, waiting to be connected to a ‘guide’ somewhere in the country. It’s just your luck as to who picks up your call. I have been given various reasons for HD not being connected, the main one being an “Open Order”. EE can’t cope with more than one order on your account at any time. Apparently there was a fantom order on the account which has been removed but has caused a glitch on EE’s system. After all they are only supposedly the main communication company in the country.  Having raised an official complaint with them, I have been promised a call back from their Executive Complaints on 14/08/24. If it isn’t resolved I can cancel my contract without penalty.

Sorry you've had so many issues @Jaycee121 - I've added HD to your account so that you can use it straight away.

I'll get the order raised tomorrow so that it's also added to your bill.

Dear Mr Dev,

                        I have joined EE 2 days ago but the picture quality is no where near my old sky package . I was informed by the gentleman who knocked at my door and signed me up that the quality element will be not compromised. But pic quality is not good . I feel it's false advertising because I have now cancelled sky and left with picture quality which isn't same.  Now i am told because channels aren't 4k. I wanted 4k to begin with so I have asked for 4k now . But there was apparently an engineering issue . Can you please kindly ensure that it gets resolved please. I have been promised a call back but looking at reviews I just want to make sure that ther isn't any issue.

Kind Regards

Usman

EE TV employs cold callers?

*Longtime YouView box owner & broadband customer (was BT now EE), but only recently a full EETV subscriber*

@zulu17

Thanks. Seems like something from a bygone age. For so many reasons, good and bad.

@Usalim your account has the Big Sport package, but doesn't have the HD/4K add-on.  It should be a simple task for the agent to add it, if you call in again.  Sorry for the hassle you've had so far.
