starting point
selected BT Broadband customerI have looked at previous questions re Firestick and EE wifi but my issue is slightly different but same result no connection.
I use EE wifi when visiting my friends house as can get good connection and he does not have broadband in his house. My computer my pad and my phone all connect with no issues.
I bought him a firestick to gain access to some more TV and having issues signing in
If using the Firestick remote control and I plug the stick into HDMi 1 and select cponnect to Network the EE Wifi appears and says Signal Good, then I select this with the main circle control and it then goes to Confirm Network, I press the circle again and it presses connect, then the Log in page of EEwifi appears with https...... /home again I select log in now by pressing the circle and it takes me to EE account and BT Broadband account then I select BT broadband as this is my home router and when press the circle again on the firestick nothing happens. When I then press the right arrow with 11 on it trys to go to sign in page I know this as the https changes to home/#login-dialog but we go back to the Welcome to EE wifi page again pictures below.

Day 3 in the Crap Broadband house. No response from EE since yesterday morning, when someone said they would call back after 6pm, 27/02. They didn't. It's now 8pm on 28/02. Mrs Bewdley13 wants to watch last night's Coronation St. on the ITVX app via the firestick. No chance. Buffering and freezing as if the EE broadband is completely taking the micky. Gave up. Still not possible to 'manage' the app as the info BT sent to EE doesn't match what's on my profile. Or words to that effect. I really don't care anymore. Received an email telling me that EE has billed me and that I should visit the website/app to have a look. Not possible. Can't see anything because of aforementioned problem. EE may have billed me £1,000 and I wouldn't know.
If you're considering switching to EE, please don't. Especially from BT. It would be a very silly thing to attempt. It's like jumping out of a plane without a parachute. I would imagine. If you value your health, if you have high blood pressure, a dodgy heart, or worse still, a short time left to live, I really wouldn't bother. If you want full fibre, stick to Weetabix.
I will continue to post daily. I find it cathartic.
