Intermittent sound while streaming Discoveryplus

Hi, can anyone help with a sound issue. Sound is fine until after an advert while streaming on Discoveryplus. Sound then goes off. I can switch to other channels and sound is fine. Then switch back to Discoveryplus and sound is fine until after the next advert. TIA.

Hey there @Sam4711, welcome to the EE Community!

If it was happening on your other TV that would definitely rule it out being linked to the soundbar.

Do you watch regular TV on IP mode or aerial, and do other streaming platforms experience no issue?

Still an on going problem. Had to switch channels to gain sound and then back to Discoveryplus after every advert. 4 times during streaming Richard Hammond’s workshop. Very annoying. Not sure what to do now to get it fixed. 😡

I dont have an aerial, all channels are through the internet. No other streaming platforms have this problem.

Have you checked your box software and the Discovery Plus app is up to date?  

You can update these by going to the settings and then under device info and update software and apps. 

Let us know how you get on. 

If you're still experiencing a problem with the sound it would be worth performing a factory reset.

I have for the past 2 days have exactly the same problem, sound direct to tv no soundbar

there is no issues with software or app. Both up to date and. Due to other issues I have been experiencing the set box has had resets so no idea what is causing this

They'll be able to get your account details brought up, run some further checks and advise you on the best way to move forwards from there.

I too am having this problem.

No sound bar, direct sound through the TV. As soon as an advert finishes the sound goes. 

I have to go back and resume the episode. This started a couple of days ago.

 

It surely has to be a discovery + or box issue.
