Hi, can anyone help with a sound issue. Sound is fine until after an advert while streaming on Discoveryplus. Sound then goes off. I can switch to other channels and sound is fine. Then switch back to Discoveryplus and sound is fine until after the next advert. TIA.

Are you connected to a sound system? e.g. a soundbar or amp? The content switches from surround sound to stereo during the ads - it sounds like your setup isn't handling the switch correctly. If you're connected to something external, is there a button to change the surround format? That may be enough to wake it up.

Yes i m connected to a soundbar. I’ll check that and see if it works. Strange, it’s fine on other streaming platforms though. Thank you.

Tried as suggested and didnt work. Lost sound again immediately after the advert on Discoveryplus, changed settings on my soundbar remote and still no sound. Switched channel, sound is back and switched back and sound in back to normal. It has to be something with Discoveryplus settings. ?

There are no settings, other than to turn surround on or off.
Is your soundbar connected with HDMI or optical?

I assume HDMI to the eARC port of your TV then? There may be options on your TV to control the audio settings on it? Otherwise I'm out of ideas I'm afraid - it might also be worth contacting the support helpdesk of the soundbar you're using.

What happens when you try it without the soundbar connected?

No, but the same happened last night while watching Discoveryplus on the spare tv in the bedroom through the mini box. So, it has to be an issue with the channel provider?
