HBO Max

Hello.
I wonder if someone could help me please? We currently have the Full Works package, primarily so that we can watch Sky Sports and football on TNT Sports, but have recently received emails about certain items moving to HBO MAX. One email says to watch TNT Sport/Discovery+, we need to download the HBO app, while the next says that we can get HBO via the NOW app. While I'm generally okay with tech, I am nearly 75 & do find some things a bit confusing, and I'm afraid this is one of those confusing things, eg do we need to add the HBO app, or is TNT Sport going to be available on the Now app? I understand that this needs to be done on 26 March, but would be really grateful if someone could give me an itemised list of exactly what I'll need to do on that date so that we can continue to watch the same things that we can watch now.
Sorry to be a nuisance but I'm finding the current info quite confusing. Thank you.

Access to the HBO Max app isn't provided by EE @gormor - all the HBO Max content is available within the NOW app.

You can request access to the HBO Max app from NOW if you want, by following the instructions shown here:

Afternoon humans.

I've recently had issues with my HBO MAX app, where one minute I have access, then the next day mostly all programs are 'gain access'

Cut a long story short. After 2 phone calls to EE, where the 1st one said it was a Now TV issue and not EE,  bearing in mind the Now TV homepage basically says any issues through EE is an EE problem to sort!

I didnt even contact Now TV and went straight back to EE (2nd call), where my issue was sorted, instead of being shoved over to Now TV.

I find out that EE are moving HBOMAX under the Now TV banner, so my HBOMAX app will be obsolete.

Please EE, if there are certain things that are under consideration, isn't it worth a bit of communication to let your 'paying subjects' know what is going on!

Kind regards

Your humble servant.

Phil 🙂

@Phil_8049 access to HBO Max for TNT Sports is managed/sold by BT and EE.  HBO Max Entertainment isn't sold by BT or EE, and isn't something we can provide access to.  Any issues inside the HBO Max app are also outside of our remit, and not something we can help with.

If you buy NOW Entertainment with HBO Max from BT or EE then this provides access to the HBO Max content within the NOW app.  You can then choose to request access to the HBO Max app from NOW - again, this isn't something we have any ability to give to you.

Note: EE have never sold HBO Max Entertainment - it hasn't been moved, and nothing has changed or is changing in this respect.

Hi @DarrenDev

Thank you for reply.

I never mentioned in my post anything about who buys or does not buy!

I reiterate that what I was told about HBO MAX moving under the Now TV app, was told to me by 2 different EE advisers!

Phil

My full time job is EE TV @Phil_8049 - the agents have to deal with all EE products, and their knowledge is spread thin so they can be known to guess or assume.

HBO Max isn't moving under NOW TV - it's been there since launch.  NOW is the default place for you to access the HBO Max content, however you have the option to request direct access to the HBO Max app from NOW if you'd like.

Hi @DarrenDev

Thank you again.

I m fully aware now of where and how to gain access to EE products.

But please correct me if I'm wrong. But as an EE expert, shouldn't you be giving your knowledge to your agents, as you have so eloquently put it, so they dont have to guess or assume.

Bearing in mind they are your front line, who have to deal with some unruly customers.

Phil

The information they need is provided to them on the systems they use.  In your case, they've decided to add their own interpretation to it, by saying that things are moving - possibly in an attempt to appease you.

But by the sounds of it, you have everything you need.  Is that correct?

As I stated previously, my issue has been sorted.

Please don't take me for a fool in saying that your agents were trying to appease me. They were very good in helping me getting to the crux of the problem.

As long as your issue is solved then everything is great.

I just don't want others reading this thread to be confused with the misinformation.  HBO Max is available in the NOW app, and access to the HBO Max app can be requested from NOW directly by following the instructions here.
