HBO Max

Hello.
I wonder if someone could help me please? We currently have the Full Works package, primarily so that we can watch Sky Sports and football on TNT Sports, but have recently received emails about certain items moving to HBO MAX. One email says to watch TNT Sport/Discovery+, we need to download the HBO app, while the next says that we can get HBO via the NOW app. While I'm generally okay with tech, I am nearly 75 & do find some things a bit confusing, and I'm afraid this is one of those confusing things, eg do we need to add the HBO app, or is TNT Sport going to be available on the Now app? I understand that this needs to be done on 26 March, but would be really grateful if someone could give me an itemised list of exactly what I'll need to do on that date so that we can continue to watch the same things that we can watch now.
Sorry to be a nuisance but I'm finding the current info quite confusing. Thank you.

You won't need to do anything on your TV Box Pro - the TV channels will continue to work, and the HBO Max app will be automatically installed for you.

If you use the discovery+ app on any other devices then you'll need to install the HBO Max app on them and then log in with your discovery+ username and password.

Everything in the Now TV app (i.e. the entertainment and cinema) will still be there, as it is now.  No change required.

HBO Max is/will be its own application. Now TV partners with Sky who also offer HBO product but for the purposes of using through EE, you would need to use the HBO MAx app and use the same login details that you use currently on the Discovery app

I have the apple TV box however I'm unable to download hbo max as it isn't listed in the app store. What's the solution?

It doesn't launch until 26 March, so it is just a question of waiting, and downloading then.

We are also wondering about viewing via Apple TV please. Notice that the Apple TV question hasn’t been picked up yet. Please can EE respond.

Hi @KJPitt

Thanks for coming to the community.

Please see the TNT Sports is moving to HBO Max - The EE Community  article and the HBO Max launch and what this means for EE TV customers with NOW Entertainment page, for full information on what's changing and how to find the HBO Max app.

Leanne.

Thanks for picking up my question. We don’t have a NOW TV Entertainment package so this doesn’t help. We log in via Discovery+.

Hi @KJPitt.

If you just mean for watching TNT Sports channels, you'll need to watch through the HBO Max app from 26th March.

The app won't be available for download just yet, but when 26th March comes around, you'll be able to download it and login with your current discovery+ login.

There is more on the TNT Sports move on our TNT Sports is moving to HBO Max community page.
