Failing to record because guide does not match live tv

Recording Big brother last night. It does not start?

Can watch big brother; but when you pause, it says it is 'The real wives of Potomac' and I guess that this is why the recording does not work. Where does the EPG guide get its info from and how can it NOT match the actual program?

It's still an issue that is being worked on. The current expectation is that things should start improving next week for the worst-affected channels, with all channels being fixed by early December.

Engineer came . Apparently my 15 year old tv can cope, the BT Youview box can cope; but the EE PRO box cannot cope with 100% signal strength. The engineer has toned down the signal and I now get 160 channels instead of 30ish. Time will tell wether it also fixes the rewind and remote control button issues.

Thanks for the update here, @davefowkes.

Fingers crossed this will have everything sorted out, but please keep us posted on how things go!

Strictly would not record last night (15th Nov)  When paused it said no information available (ie not on the guide)

Good news is I am no longer losing channels. I am still losing recordings and I have to 'renew' the series recording. I belive that sometimes, if there is only one recorded episode, and I delete it, it turns off the series recordings?

As you say, the guide is still wrong. I saw Roger Moore on channel 42 (description 'return of the saint') except he was not in that. It was 'The persuaders' a couple of days ago this was channel 101 (1 was fine). Switching on and off had no effect; but it was ok a few hours laterIMG_4493.JPEG
