Hi. I’m using an EE data SIM and router as I can’t get fibre and the copper was so slow. Can I get EE TV?  It doesn’t seem to be available to a mobile Broadband user!

Unfortunately not.

Could be worth trying something like Now TV or Sky Stream however on a monthly rolling basis to see if they would work for your needs.

Sky Stream is available to order via EE or direct with Sky. It would offer a more "conventional" TV experience (it has a remote for the puck they give you and a TV guide etc). I believe EE take a one-time setup fee of 99p (happy to be corrected on this) and the ordering process directs you to Sky to choose a package anyways. There are 24 month or 1 month rolling options, the rolling option would allow you to try it out with no commitment.

Now TV would likely be the simplest as it will probably work with whatever existing streaming kit you may have such as most Smart TVs and Chromecasts, Apple TV boxes etc.

The level of quality you'll achieve from either of these could vary wildly depending on the quality of your Mobile Broadband connection so I would not go in expecting it to be flawless.

@SteveH17

The EETV service only goes out over landlines 😢  How slow is slow? I guess with @Matt_124‘s suggestions, you would need to find out if you could get them on your phone AND then cast them to your TV,,,

thanks very much I’ll see if the offer the rugby

Thanks a lot.
2mbs was my best over the broadband getting 20mbs + over mobile so much better.  One day the fibre will reach us. The joys of rural living.

Have you ever looked into starlink ?  The broadband by sattelite .
