After 2 months of battling to get the TV Pro and Mini boxes to work without hardly any glitching and now having 3 x wifi hub extenders dotted around the house to help (not paying for these btw), the final straw was being told that despite being listed on their Entertainment Pack channel list which I subscribed to, AND me paying extra every month for the HD pack, Discovery 'HD' is only available if you have the 'BIG' Entertainment Pack for a whopping £48/month more than the advertised Entertainment Pack. All other channels are available in HD in the Entertainment pack, except Discovery. To make matters worse, when I pointed out their false advertising, I was told thee totally different stories by the useless complaints team. One being it wasn't included, the second being it was and it will be up and running shortly, then a call back to say no sorry, they were wrong and so is the website, so in needed to pay £48 extra to get that one channel in HD......BE WARNED PEOPLE, THIS COMPANY LIES, AND IS USELESS

@iannewhouse150 Big Entertainment isnt £48 a month more than Entertainment. Full works it’s a lot more expensive as you get everything.

@iannewhouse150 As far as I am aware if you have the EETV Entertainment package you will get the Discovery channel in SD and if you have the HD addon you will have it in HD. If you are not getting it with the HD addon and you are getting the remaining Entertainment channels in HD then it is probably a problem that EE technical team should be able to resolve offline. Why you are getting differing messages when contacting EE is suprising and suggests that that issue has probably not been routed to the right team for resolution. I suspect they might be confused as unlike the other subscription channels in the entertainment package Discovery is a WBD channel not a Now channel.

@iannewhouse150 Some of the customer service agents aren't as knowledgeable as they should be.
HD and 4K add on is available at £6 on the entertainment packages but is available as standard on the sports packages.

HD has been the default transmission for almost 20 years, to be charged extra for this is a rip off, if people are still paying for it they will keep charging, you wouldn't expect to be offered dial up broadband.

Don't think of it as paying extra for HD @Steveduggan1 - think of it as getting a discount for not having HD.
If HD was given as standard, the package prices would go up - that wouldn't be fair on the people who aren't fussed about HD.

Who knows if it will change.
Sports packages were not HD by default up until a few months ago.
There are always improvements being made that we won't know about until it is publicly rolled out e.g. watchlists on the EE apple TV app.

@Steveduggan1 That’s down to the provider of that service to offer it as standard. Netflix, Now, etc etc. they charge for this even if you go directly to them. EE are only offering the basic subscription for them services which don’t include HD as the provider of that services doesn’t offer it as standard.

@Chris_B EE obviously came to sort of agreement with Now to include the HD cost in the sports packages and the same with WB Discovery for the TNT Sports channels, so maybe at some point they will do the same for the entertainment packages.
