EETV Apple TV 4K Review

Hi, thinking of taking the plunge to EETV with the Apple TV 4K box setup, but wanted to see what others thought of it first. Does it work well, ease of use, picture quality etc? I know we don’t have Now TV Ultraboost available just yet but general thoughts would be very helpful while thinking about making the change from Sky Stream over to EE TV Full Works package. Thanks.

It may not help, but using the Apple TV box, I've moved to using the apps on my LG TV if they are better than the Apple box. I've reverted to using the LG remote, and have, for example, the iPlayer as a shortcut on the remote where a long press of 1 takes me to the TV's iPlayer, which is the full version including UHD. Then a long press on the return button takes me back to the Apple TV box. NowTV is similar for me because of the UHD bug mentioned above [which only affects those who purchase NowTV directly and not through EE]. There are also a couple of apps I use on the TV that aren't available on the Apple box, Premier Sports and TV5. Whilst the TV remote isn't as simple as either the original Apple TV remote or the one supplied with the EE version, it works well with the Apple TV box, so I still only need the one remote.

You have a good solution for your own needs and is one I used to use, but these days I prefer to have a single box that does everything perfectly - maximum picture quality on all services and ad-skipping in particular. Maybe I'm on the spectrum somewhere, but I just prefer a simpler (and cheaper) solution.

You don't feel it is worth mentioning the negatives of EETV? Why are you such a shrill?

You clearly didn't read my post did you?

Please explain why you feel my input is irrelevant?

Because the original poster was asking about real world experience with the EE supplied Apple TV 4K service, not why you prefer Sky Stream. They already have an opinion on Sky Stream, they have it!

Of course I read your post, but you failed to mention things like global ad-skipping. I am as entitled as you to post a comment, without my post being moderated by you. I have seen posts extolling the virtues of the likes of Freely without mention of any of the negatives, I found out before I bought a Freely box and am always grateful to those who point things out which might have caused me to make a big mistake. I'm a teacher and your more censorious attitude reminds me of year 8 students who want their response to be considered more important and more worthy than those of other students. I'm more than happy that you have contributed to this discussion, as is your right, but I'm not happy that you think it acceptable to criticise my perfectly valid contribution. You have no right to do that.

Does anyone know if this discussion group as a mechanism for blocking users?
