If the fixes don’t work then reporting the problem to EE would be necessary.
In the absence of a working remote it is possible to connect a USB keyboard to the box as this is one of the Accessibily options of Youview Boxes. Key matching charts for various keyboards are available from either the EE or Youview support pages. Older Youview (BT) or Humax device remotes may also operate the box to varying degrees. The EETV app if paired to your box can be used to set recordings.
