Hi, Im curious, my TV boxes are arriving tomorrow... 1 Apple TV and 2 Mini boxes, however, once I activated now TV its giving me the option of adding a boost so I can watch on 3 devices at one time...

My question is, should I not be able to watch on 3 devices since I will have 2 additional mini boxes?

It's probably best to wait till they arrive and then see what you get before buying a boost (which you can buy as an add on with your existing service - you could with BT at least)

Unfortunately the EE TV multiroom and Now TV multiroom products aren't connected.

You get 2 Now TV streams as standard, or 3 with boost - regardless of what TV Box subscription you have.

I have a similar question.

we seem to watch mostly from now TV. But for some reason it says we can’t because the main box is connected? So does that mean we can only be logged into Now TV at one box at a time? We constantly have to turn off the box in the living room to be able to watch it in our bedroom. Which means we can both watch now TV at the same time?

@Caireen89 You should be able to watch on 2 boxes at the same time - no more than that.  You also shouldn't need to turn the box off - just switching it to a different channel (e.g. BBC One) should free up any existing use.

We have a similar issue, EETV Box Pro and a mini box, but can only watch Now TV on one device at a time

If I got to my account on Now TV it only shows one device being used.

Hi there @JC1967

Thanks for coming here.

The EE TV Customer Support page has help and advice for watching NOW TV.

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

@JC1967

The number of Now sessions you can have at once is set by Now, and doesn’t relate to the number of EETV sessions you can have at one time.

If you don’t have Now Boost, you can only watch Now on one device at a time, except when:-

either:-

    the first Now session you start is on the Now app - on any device, EETV or not;

   the second Now session you start is on an EETV device, and you start this in the EPG, not in the Now app

or:-

   both sessions you start are on EETV devices, one is via the Now app and the other via the EPG; in this case, you can start the sessions in any order.

If you do have Now Boost, you can watch Now on two devices at a time, each either via the app on any device, or on the EPG of an EETV device.

If you have reached your limit as above, and you want to stop watching on one device and then go and start watching on another device immediately, it is importantly to stop watching on the first device by exiting the stream. If you exit by closing the Now app or switching off the device, it can be 20-30 minutes before Now notices you have gone, and lets you start up on another device.
