Hello, I have been thinking adding EETV to my BT Broadband account but have a few questions if I may? I'm currently using freeview via a loft aerial with 4G splitter.
Apologies for all the questions, just want to be sure before signing up.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @GaryB17
Welcome to the community.
You can add an extra EE TV Mini box when you're ordering, it does come with an additional cost.
You're correct that there are two modes, with the IP TV mode, you will still get most of the channels, including BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 + more. You can see some more information about the differences between aerial and IP modes here on this help page.
Depending on the package you choose, the Netflix plan would be either Standard with Adverts or Standard, which allows you to stream on two devices at a time. That's the same with Now TV.
The thing I love about it, is that Netflix, Now TV and the other catch-up apps are easily accessible through the same interface.

Thank you Chris, much appreciated. If I understood your reply, in IP TV mode I can watch live TV (BBC, it etc), is that correct? So I wouldn't nessarily need an aerial? Just concerned that my current signal issues with Free view would still be an issue with EETV.
Regarding Netflix/Now do BT simply take over the billing, nothing else changes then? So kids can watch in iPads using the same logins as now using the apps on devices?
Many thanks again.

It's 1 or t'other!

@GaryB17 Yeah if you opt into Netflix and Now TV subscriptions, you give your e-mail address at the point of sale for both and will receive an e-mail to activate the EE subscription on the respective accounts. Once done we would take over the subscription and billing for both.
You can still login and watch on any device which supports the Netflix or Now app using your login details, not just the EETV box.
As @XRaySpeX answered you can watch live TV in IP mode though a few Freeview channels are not available, we have a help page on IP mode which has some additional information as well.

Thank you Alex_H, much appreciated. One final question if I may, BT have really confused me so hoped I could ask here.
If I add EE TV to my BT broadband package, they want £10 a month extra for the mini box, as I'm coming for Freeview currently that adds to the final bill somewhat.
Lets say, I subscribe and get the main TV box with subscription. Can I then purchase the mini box externally (CEX, Ebay etc) and hook it up to the subscription of the main box?
Thank you

@GaryB17 the only boxes that support IP mode are the TV Box Pro and the TV Box Mini. Neither of these boxes are offered for sale, and all boxes remain the property of BT/EE at all times. Any purchase you make will be at your own risk, and may stop working at any point in the future.
Having said that - if you do buy one, only one box can be used at a time. You'll be prompted to drag the subscription back and forth between boxes each time you go to use it.
