EE TV pro box sound volume extremely low.

EE TV pro box sound volume extremely low. Tried swapping hdmi port and new hdmi cable but sound is ridiculously low. Even with my brand new TV on full volume we can barely hear the TV.  TV is loud with all other devices but not the EE TV pro box. Turned off Dolby 5.1 on the TV and both with or without this turned on we can barely hear the TV even at 100% volume. Can't see any settings in the EE TV pro box to disable or change sound output. Anyone know of a fix. I don't want to use a sound bar just to use the EE TV pro box.

I have a similar problem. Very annoying. Wish I hadn't swapped over to EE. 

 

Any support would be greatly appreciated

@Arnookie @Higg_2487  Something that worked for me was to set the volume to the maximum it will go using the EE Tv pro max remote.  Then swap to the remote for the TV you have the box connected to and use the volume slider to set the volume to as high as you are likely to want. If you then swap back to the EE box remote you can then use the volume control buttons to reduce the sound to whatever level you want. In effect what this seems to do is to set the EE box max volume level using the TV remote control. Hope this helps

already tried this it made no difference unfortunately. It is odd as some channels and programs are loud but others a so quiet even with the tv and ee box turned to 100%

I have no idea if the ee tv box pro supports dolby 5.1 if it does and its set to dolby 5.1 it can cause this issue. There is no way of changine the audio output type via the ee box settings.  

EE for anything other than mobile is simply rubbish. We moved from BT broadband and Sky TV to EE on both and we’re completely miss sold both products by their in store staff. The TV service itself is fine but it’s got nothing on Sky and has poor audio, no Disney plus or paramount plus which we were told it would have. Also can’t record on any box other than the smart box where as on sky you can record on anything. Just complete garbage. I’m still in my cooling period but am seriously considering going back to Sky which is more expensive. That tells you how crap it really is…

No, it just tells you how much those extra features are costing you on Sky,

No it’s what I pay extra for with sky for features that EE claim to offer but don’t.

Had the same problem . turned on surround sound in EE pro box settings and volume returned
