I just phoned up to try and add EE TV to my broadband package and the customer services person told me its not actually launched yet and they don't know when it will launch despite your website telling people its live. It won't let me do anything online as it says there is a technical error.
Has it launched and you can take orders for it or not?

I gave up on Sky after I had a simple problem and after 3.5 hrs of listening to music on hold, talking to chatbots, people who were on 'multiple chats' and being unable to get speaking to "Tech support". They seem to be focussed on selling rather than keeping customers, hence...

I just want the Apple TV tbh - one box for everything would be amazing

I must have a look at that.

It is basically sky stream but instead of a crappy hardware - it’s Apple TV. All services integrated. One remote for everything.
the only thing that lets down ee tv is a lack of 4k hdr on sky channels - which obviously sky would never agree to - As that’s their sole selling advantage

Just an update on my own position.
Spoke to sales guy at EE who initially tried to provide the new EE TV package but it turned out this was still the now newly re-badged BT TV deal. He did some checking and apologised once he understood the situation. It appears that E staff have been told the launch of EE TV has been delayed but they have no date for when it will launch. Hence I think the 'wait it's coming soon' or 'try again at the start of January' is really just another way of saying 'we don't know when its going to happen'.
I have now taken out the new EE-full fibre broadband package (re-badged BT product) and am simply waiting to see when and if EE TV eventually arrives.

We switched from BT to EE broadband because our BT contract was ending and BT said they were migrating everyone to EE. Broadband service started fine but it’s been a month now and no TV. Called again today and they still can’t give a date, a month after launch! EE will be desperate to get the service to market and will rush it out with bugs and glitches. I’m not signing up to that mess, paying full price for a Beta version. I made that mistake with OnDigital (remember that fiasco!?) I’ve had enough of waiting. EE are doing Sky Stream’s marketing for them.
