At present the EETV app provides the the functionality to schedule their Youview box recordings remotely without having an EETV subscription.
Ie the functionality that the YouView own app used to provide. Will this continue post 15 October ?

Yes, this will continue to be available in the EE TV app, and also be offered in the BT TV app. The only change is that it's no-longer anonymous, as both apps require you to log in (but a BT ID or EE ID can be created without a subscription on it).
For those with more than one recordable box, you'll be able to use one app for each, if you so choose.

@DarrenDev As those with more than one recordable box, you'll be able to use one app for each, if they so choose, why is a help page on the BT site stating that BT broadband customers should switch to the BT app come 15th October?
I.e. "If you use the EE TV app, you'll need to move to the new BT TV app."

@-Luke- That help page is for … If you have BT Broadband and EE TV
The question I raised was for those using the EE TV app without an EETV subscription to pair and set remote recordings on their recordable box This feature was introduced on the (BT/EE) TV mobile apps to replace functionality that YouView provided on their own mobile app when YouView withdrew from being customer facing.

If you're a BT Broadband customer, your subscription functions will only be available in the BT TV app after October 15th.
If you want to also use the EE TV app for non subscription activity (e.g. youview recordings), you're welcome to - you'll need to create an EE ID to use that.
