EE TV Box Pro possible fault…?

I have an EE TV Box Pro and the energy/standby settings are set to ‘SMART’ and goes into standby after 12 hours.

The issue I have (but don’t know if it’s a fault or not) is for example, I leave the box on an IP channel such as Discovery HD and turn my TV off but obviously the box stays on, I go back to the TV maybe 5 hours later and turn it on and the channel I am on (Discovery HD - but happens on most channels eg. Sky History, Sky Nature) is sometimes up to 30 minutes behind ‘Live’/actual time, like it has re-wound itself- so I have to fast-forward it back to ‘real-time’. It happens nearly every day.  I never use the rewind function nor does anyone else in the house. (There is only me and 1 other person in the house, and they definitely aren’t pranking me, lol)

I am no expert but this just doesn’t seem right and I am thinking it could be maybe a hard drive issue, why else would the channel fall behind by that long on all these channels? It never happens on the Mini boxes I have, just the Pro Box.

The best way I could describe it would be a broadcast delay (a big one!)

If anyone has any insight into this it would be greatly appreciated, just to know if it’s a faulty Pro box or if it’s normal if you leave it on a channel for that length of time for this to happen…?

Thank you in advance for any help

Kind Regards 🙂
