EE Apple TV - I cannot get my free to air (Freeview) channels

Hi I have a new Apple EE TV box and I have selected my region and on the EE app I cannot see any of my Freeview channels  - BBC, UTV, CH4 etc. What do I need to do to see these on the EE app?

Hi try updating the box a few times see if that helps

We don't offer all Freeview channels on Apple TV@Ninga1 - if you're seeing BBC 1 then it's working as intended. See the available channels here: https://www.bt.com/help/tv/guide/ip-freeview-guide

Hi I am also still having this problem. Have reset and updated the Apple TV 4K twice and channels (BBC etc) still do not appear. Bought and updated on 22/6/24. Any ideas? Thanks

I didn’t buy the Apple TV 4K directly from EE - is this the/an issue? Reading the comments it seems to be that the serial # needs to be registered to make it work? Any guidance would be great. I’m a bit confused!

I'm afraid you'll be limited to just a small number of channels on an Apple TV not provided as part of your subscription @CalumMcD . There's no workaround for this.

Yes, it's possible to switch from TV Box (Pro or Mini) to Apple TV mid contract. I'm not sure what the price options are though. You'd need to call to ask.

I signed up to EE TV today literally to watch the freeview through my Apple TV but the channels do not appear. Do they only work on APLE TV’s supplied by EE?

Correct @brownchris11 - only on Apple TVs provided by EE as part of an EE TV subscription. No exceptions.
